Raleigh Charter and Cary Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th. Raleigh Charter is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On December 8th, Raleigh Charter was beaten by St. David's 66-34. While losing is never fun, Raleigh Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while St. David's is ranked 186th).
Meanwhile, Cary Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Charlotte Country Day School at home and fell 58-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cary Academy has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cary Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Raleigh Charter now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cary Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Raleigh Charter came up short against Cary Academy in their previous meeting back in November, falling 44-31. Can Raleigh Charter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
