The Coahulla Creek Colts won the last time they faced the Gordon Lee Trojans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Coahulla Creek managed a 50-44 victory over the Trojans. Given Coahulla Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Trojans are ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cullen Marti was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Houser, who scored ten points.
Coahulla Creek's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Gordon Lee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Coahulla Creek will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Panthers at 8:30 p.m. Hopefully Ridgeland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Gordon Lee, they will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bremen is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
