The Tourtellotte Tigers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Windham on the road and fell 82-20. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tourtellotte in their matchups with Windham: they've now lost nine in a row.
Windham was led to victory by Jaelize Rivera and Aniya Jenkins. Rivera scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Jenkins went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 4 assists. Jenkins hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Lebiszczak, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Tourtellotte's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Windham, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Tourtellotte will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lyman Memorial at 6:00 p.m. Windham won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Waterford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Windham is ranked 23rd).
