St. Edward and Walthill are set to face off this Friday at 2:00 PM. With three consecutive blowout wins, St. Edward is looking for someone to give it a good challenge; hopefully Walthill will step up.
St. Edward dominated last week, steamrollering Santee 48 - 7. No one had a larger role in the success than senior Riley Alder, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 48 yards and also punched in two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Walthill didn't have too much trouble with Hampton in its last game, where Walthill won 57 - 40. Junior Romello Porter was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he earned three touchdowns and 244 yards rushing the ball).
Their wins bumped St. Edward to 3-2 and Walthill to 3-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Walthill and St. Edward will really light up the scoreboard.
