After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Choctawhatchee, Somerset was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Connor Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on 11 hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kole Grundy and Caynan Sizemore did most of the damage at the plate: Grundy went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Sizemore scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Grundy is becoming a predictor of Somerset's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Bryson Stevens, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
