North White hasn't had much luck against Winamac recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, North White put up the most runs they have all season on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 victory over Triton. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since May 16, 2024.

Raelynn Anliker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Hanna Hunt was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Kaylyn Applegate was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
North White was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Winamac waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Redskins get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.
Like North White, Winamac also got a great game from a two-way player: Adrianna Hall. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hall has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Corrin Combs, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Linzy Walters, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for North White and bumps their season record up to 5-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Winamac, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North White hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. However, it's not like Winamac struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North White might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Winamac in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
