Berks Catholic (Reading, Pa.) snapped the seven-game winning streak of
Troy (Pa.), with a 33-6 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a kick return in the first quarter, the Saints led 26-0 at the half.
A big 20-point first quarter helped Berks Catholic secure the win. BC scored on a kick return, a touchdown run by
Chris Warren and a touchdown run in the quarter.
Troy's only touchdown came on a 2-yard run by
Jed Wright in the fourth quarter.
The Trojans came in allowing just 14.7 points per game this season. Troy had a hard time against Berks Catholic's offense, which entered the game scoring 38.5 points per game. The Saints came into the game allowing 11.5 points per game. The six points that THS ended with were well below its average of 37.8 coming into the game.
