The Rehobeth Rebels pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-56 to Malone. Rehobeth was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Malone apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Malone was led to victory by Jackson Welch and Jamerious Sims. Welch scored 22 points along with eight rebounds, while Sims scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Welch has scored at least 25% of Malone's points. Another player making a difference was Hoke Harkrider, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Rehobeth and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Malone, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.
