The Gloversville Huskies/Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Queensbury, falling 51-23. Gloversville has not had much luck with Queensbury recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Queensbury's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shea Canavan, who scored ten points along with six assists and six steals. Canavan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Zehr, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Gloversville bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Queensbury, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Gloversville will be playing at home against Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Queensbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Broadalbin-Perth at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
