After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Chaparral was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Arizona College Prep Knights as they made off with a 14-8 victory. This was a revenge game for the Firebirds: when they faced off against the Knights last Tuesday, they had to take a 8-0 loss.
Ryan Penney looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also allowed three hits, marking his first of the season.
