Braelyn Davis made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and seven RBI. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Adrianna Thorne was a standout: she scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Candice Chime was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2.
Southwest Florida Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 14.6.
Meanwhile, Lely came up short against Cape Coral on Friday, falling 12-1.
Lely's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Southwest Florida Christian, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
