Concrete is 0-2 against Crescent since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Concrete Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Crescent Loggers at 1:00 p.m. One thing working in Concrete's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
Last Thursday, everything went Concrete's way against Tulalip Heritage as Concrete made off with a 40-16 victory. The result was nothing new for Concrete, who have now won five matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Josiah Rider continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Adam Culver also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.
Concrete's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Micheal Bartel and Jakob Lofton who racked up five sacks between them.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 58 points the game before, Crescent were a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They were outmatched by Charles Wright on the road and fell 52-8. Crescent was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.
Concrete's win lifted them to 5-2 while Crescent's loss dropped them down to 3-4.
Concrete ended up a good deal behind Crescent when the teams last played back in October of 2022, losing 30-12. Can Concrete avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
