It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pearsall Mavericks can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Wimberley on Thursday, falling 68-0. Pearsall just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.
Cody Stoever was his usual excellent self, throwing for 151 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Benji Olmeado, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Pearsall has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Wimberley, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
