Everything went their way against Lexington School for the Deaf as Texas School for the Deaf made off with a 48-28 victory. The victory was all the more spectacular given Texas School for the Deaf's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1217th in Texas, while Lexington School for the Deaf is ranked 471st in New York).
Lexington School for the Deaf lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hunter Larsen, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Cristhian De La Cruz was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Texas School for the Deaf's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Lexington School for the Deaf, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Texas School for the Deaf will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Brentwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. Lexington School for the Deaf won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind on January 13th. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
