The Hale County Wildcats waltzed into Wednesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Helena by a score of 45-35. The score was all tied up 15-15 at the break, but Hale County was the better team in the second half.
Shaniah Jones was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kynaja Marshall, who scored 10 points.
Hale County's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Helena, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hale County will challenge University Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Helena's road trip will continue as they head out to face McAdory at 5:30 p.m. on November 27th.
