The Catoosa Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 13th straight loss. The matchup between Catoosa and Central wasn't particularly close, with Catoosa falling 53-38.
Catoosa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kloie Bristol, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bristol has scored all season. Alexes Ertman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Catoosa were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Montay Davis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Robinson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Catoosa's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catoosa will play host again and welcome Locust Grove, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Locust Grove will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Central, they will be playing at home against McLain Science & Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McLain Science & Tech is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
