This season hasn't been kind to the Swansea Tigers, who are still winless after their 20th matchup. They were beaten by Orangeburg-Wilkinson 95-25 on Tuesday. Swansea has struggled against the Bruins recently, as their game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Swansea still got an impressive performance from Michael Murphy, who scored seven points.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson had a senior duo take command as Jeremiah Jacques scored 13 points along with six steals and Maurion Gordon scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Gordon is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Robins, who scored 11 points.
Swansea dropped their record down to 0-20 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Swansea will take on the Diamond Hornets at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lower Richland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in South Carolina (the Diamond Hornets are ranked 58th, while the Tigers are ranked 305th). As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Dreher will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
