In what's become a running theme this season, the Frostproof Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hardee 82-43 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Frostproof who now have four in a row.
Sevastian Rosado continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 38 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Frostproof's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daiveon Pittman, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Hardee's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Phoenix Romeo, who scored 12 points. Tedrick Simon was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Frostproof's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Hardee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frostproof won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lakeland Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Lakeland Christian is on a three-game streak of home wins, Frostproof a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Hardee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Meade at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Fort Meade knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Hardee likes a good challenge.
