It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Denison Yellow Jackets can now relate to. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marshall on Friday. Denison's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Marshall got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Raijon Sims out in front who picked up 80 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Collier Slone was another key contributor, throwing for 112 yards and three touchdowns.
Denison's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Marshall, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Denison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marshall will face off against Midlothian Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Midlothian Heritage is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
