The Katella Knights''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of Garden Grove. Katella has struggled against Garden Grove recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Garden Grove got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pablo Reyes out in front who rushed for 145 yards on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Roth, who threw for 32 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.
Katella's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.3 points per game. As for Garden Grove, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Katella does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Garden Grove also has no future games currently scheduled.
