Effingham County had won three straight on the road, but on Saturday they bumped up to 3-4 to make it four. They snuck past the South Effingham Mustangs with a 43-37 victory. That looming 43-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Effingham County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Scruggs, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Williams, who put up 11 points and five boards.

As for South Effingham, their record now sits at 3-7. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, South Effingham had strong showings from Quinton Williams, who scored nine points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, and Warren Roundtree, who earned nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Hall, who had ten points and five boards.

Coming up, Effingham County will venture away from home to take on Glynn Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Effingham, they will host St. Andrew's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
