Maplesville is 10-0 against Verbena since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Meanwhile, Verbena's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-28 loss at the hands of Loachapoka. Verbena has struggled against Loachapoka recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Maplesville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Verbena, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
Everything came up roses for Maplesville against Verbena in their previous meeting on Monday as the team secured a 57-17 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maplesville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
