Channel Islands waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Canoga Park Hunters 61-43. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Hunters are ranked 1071st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Angel Avila continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13 of 17 en route to 26 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Nazir Ivey, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Channel Islands smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches.
