The Spalding Jaguars won the last time they faced the Locust Grove Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Spalding managed a 58-54 win over Locust Grove. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Spalding.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spalding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bahji Daniel, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Cedric Evans was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Spalding pushed their record up to 9-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Locust Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spalding won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jackson at 3:30 p.m. on January 6th. Jackson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 539th, while Spalding is ranked 265th). As for Locust Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Banneker is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
