The Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Master's Academy by a score of 54-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pineapple Cove Classical Academy also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Leading Pineapple Cove Classical Academy to victory were Michael Barna and Brendan Whitney. Barna scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals, while Whitney scored 16 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitney has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Welte, who scored five points.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Master's Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Babcock at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Babcock is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Master's Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Brevard Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
