Northwest Christian is 8-2 against the Wildcats since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Northwest Christian Wolverines will be playing at home against the Ocosta Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Northwest Christian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Last Tuesday, Northwest Christian was beaten by the Kings 73-42. While losing is never fun, Northwest Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Kings are ranked 166th).
Northwest Christian might have lost, but man, Dan Babber was a machine: he scored 19 points. Babber continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryddis Robinson, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Ocosta narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hyaks 51-49.
Northwest Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Ocosta, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.
Everything went Northwest Christian's way against the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 as the Wolverines made off with a 68-48 victory. Will Northwest Christian repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
