Oak Grove hasn't had much luck against Leeds recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Oak Grove Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Leeds Greenwave at 3:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Oak Grove comes in on five and Leeds on three.
Oak Grove will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Hueytown, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Oak Grove sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Hueytown on Friday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

Colton Praytor was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Praytor was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Praytor wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jay Fuller, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Leeds earned a 9-4 victory over Clay-Chalkville on Friday.
Conner Nelson was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Bedell, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Leeds pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Grove, their record now sits at 9-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Oak Grove has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Leeds struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
