It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Quincy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Trinity Wolves 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Jemma Trueblood made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Gay, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Adrian Goulet, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
