Opelousas Catholic gave up the first runs last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Loreauville with a sharp 12-2 win. The Vikings have beaten the Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.
Ashley Little made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one home run.

New Iberia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evie Sherville, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
New Iberia's loss dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Opelousas Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
New Iberia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Opelousas Catholic has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .465. It's a different story for New Iberia, though, as they've only averaged .342. Will they be able to contain Opelousas Catholic's hitters?
