Central is 9-1 against the Gators since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Central Jaguars will look to defend their home court  against the Baker Gators at 7:00  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 After a string of three wins, Central's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They took a  51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pace.
 Despite the  defeat, Central saw an underclassman step up:  Lily Mathews  shot 5-for-6  from downtown and  dropped  a double-double on 24 points and 11  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Mathews has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lakin Mathews, who  scored 13 points.
 Meanwhile, Baker also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to the Panthers by a score of  36-25. Baker has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Central's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
 Everything came up roses for Central against the Gators when the teams last played  back in January of 2022 as the  squad secured a  51-7 victory. With Central ahead  36-3 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
