Softball Recap: Riverside Academy Beats Fisher for Their Seventh Straight Win

Riverside Academy came tearing into Wednesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Fisher Gators get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Rebels have won nine matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverside Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Fisher, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Riverside Academy will be playing at home against St. Charles Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fisher, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Martin's Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Martin's Episcopal has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.78 runs per game on average), something Fisher will no doubt try to take advantage of.
