Morris is headed into the  contest having just  suffered their biggest  defeat since April 30, 2024 on Saturday. They lost  17-6 to Salesian. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Morris saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Michael Henrique, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. Another  was  Jayden Alvarado, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, DeWitt Clinton hadn't done well against Bronx High School of Science recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. DeWitt Clinton put the hurt on Bronx High School of Science with a sharp  8-2 win. The Governors not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 5, 2024.
Morris' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for DeWitt Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
