Heights won the last time they faced Spring Woods and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 17-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Emily Peltier paced Heights' offense, picking up 15 kills. Peltier got some help from Emmerson Weiss and her 26 assists. Mckenzie Dearborne controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasmine Rodriguez, who had 18 digs and two aces. Rodriguez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Adriana Castro was another key player, getting eight digs and seven assists.

Heights' win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Spring Woods, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Carnegie Vanguard on the 22nd. As for Spring Woods, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Beaumont United on the 22nd.
