Softball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Chester's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Chester put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Eau Claire Shamrocks get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The Cyclones might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

Chester has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Eau Claire, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Chester will take on Rock Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Eau Claire, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clinton at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
