Perry County was led to victory by Maddi Wright and Cianna Wilson. Wright scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Wilson dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Wright continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Perry County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-5. As for Waverly Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.
Perry County and the Wildcats will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wayne County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Vikings in Tennessee (the Wildcats are ranked 11th, while the Vikings are ranked 121st). As for Waverly Central, they will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
