The New Bloomfield Wildcats will take on the South Callaway Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, New Bloomfield came up short against Linn and fell 58-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Bloomfield in their matchups with Linn: they've now lost seven in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jacob Fuhriman, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Andrew Fouch, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, South Callaway's good fortune finally ran out last Thursday. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montgomery County. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
New Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for South Callaway, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
New Bloomfield was dealt a bruising 69-36 loss at the hands of South Callaway in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can New Bloomfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
