White Pine found their leader in underclassman Liberty Tait, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and five steals. Tait is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Paityn Lawrence was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Laughlin's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for White Pine, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Laughlin will be playing at home against GV Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully GV Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 38 on Friday. As for White Pine, they will head out on the road to square off against Pahranagat Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pahranagat Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
