The Cedar Hill Longhorns will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Mansfield Legacy Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Cedar Hill's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past DeSoto 3-2. That's two games straight that Cedar Hill has won by exactly one goal.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Mckinlee Butler and
Dulce Zapata, who scored all three of Cedar Hill's goals. The pair have combined for a total of nine so far this season.
Meanwhile, Mansfield Legacy entered their tilt with Waxahachie with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Mansfield Legacy's way against Waxahachie on Friday as Mansfield Legacy made off with a 5-2 victory.
Cedar Hill's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8-2. As for Mansfield Legacy, the win got them back to even at 6-6-2.
Cedar Hill suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Mansfield Legacy in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can Cedar Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
