McArthur has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Boyd Anderson Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boyd Anderson took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on McArthur, who comes in off a win.
McArthur gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Dr. Krop by a score of 15-7. The victory was just what McArthur needed coming off of a 39-0 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Boyd Anderson was beaten by Fort Lauderdale 38-10 on Friday. Boyd Anderson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jason Bell put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 160 receiving yards. Bell was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.
McArthur's win bumped their record up to 4-4-1. As for Boyd Anderson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything went McArthur's way against Boyd Anderson when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as McArthur made off with a 40-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McArthur since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
