LEESBURG, Va. - the Huskies scored 19 points in the second quarter to secure a big 32-6 victory over
Heritage (Leesburg, Va.) on Saturday.
Tuscarora scored on a touchdown pass by
Nick Azzarita to
Jordan Fisher, a rushing touchdown and a Azzarita touchdown pass to Fisher in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Adrien Stinger in the first quarter, THS led 32-0 at the half.
With the win the Huskies extended their winning streak to five games. Tuscarora defeated the Wolverines 35-31 last week.
Darrell Kendrick made a difference for the Pride. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.
Fisher played well for THS in the victory. The sophomore wide receiver caught two touchdowns.
Heritage's lone touchdown came on a run by Kendrick in the fourth quarter.
The Huskies came into the game allowing 16.0 points per game.
The victory will ease some of the sting of Tuscarora's close 31-28 loss to HHS last season.
