Riverside Military Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasan Wall, who scored 10 points. Abddullahi Kashim Bukar was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Among those leading the charge was Maxwell Lagan, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cottage's points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Dorsey, who scored 6 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Riverside Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cottage, the last time they lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 4-5.
Riverside Military Academy will square off against Commerce at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cottage, they will be playing at home against Tapestry Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tapestry Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Cottage likes a good challenge.
