Normal Community had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with  a   2-0  victory over the Rock Island Rocks  on Tuesday. The  win was familiar territory for the Ironmen, who have now won six  matchups in a row.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Normal Community took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14,  25-9.
 Normal Community can attribute much of their success to  Lauren Michaels, who  had six  digs and three assists. That's the most  assists  Michaels has posted since back in August of 2024.  Ella Drake also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
Normal Community's victory bumped their record up to 31-5. As for Rock Island, they dropped their record down to 9-19 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Coming up, Normal Community will welcome Lincoln-Way West  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Rock Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
