The Trinity Trojans waltzed into their contest Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. Everything went their way against Fairview as Trinity made off with a 56-32 victory. Trinity might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Leading Trinity to victory were De'oshania Bennett and Iniya Charlton. Bennett scored 13 points along with eight steals and six assists, while Charlton dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Charlton's third in a row with at least ten points. Kendall Hughes was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Trinity's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Fairview, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity will challenge Normandy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairview will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Steele at 1:15 p.m. on December 29th.
