After ten games on the road, Bronaugh is heading back home. They will take on the Kingsville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Bronaugh focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
Bronaugh suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 61-40 defeat at the hands of Sheldon. Bronaugh was down 50-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Strauss Banes, who scored 19 points. That was a full 47.5% of Bronaugh's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Duncan, who scored eight points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Kingsville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it five last Thursday. They had just enough and edged Sherwood out 64-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Kingsville has posted yet this season.
Bronaugh dropped their record down to 10-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Kingsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.
