Northern York was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 36-20 bruising from the Gettysburg Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Polar Bears of the 27-22 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
Northern York lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cash Keck, who picked up 160 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Barnett, who threw for 175 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 passes.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gettysburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grant Johnson, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards and one score. That rushing touchdown was Johnson's first of the season. Mauricio Escobar got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Northern York's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gettysburg, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
