There's no place like home for Friendswood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ball Tornadoes a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Friendswood pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ball, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Friendswood is set to square off against their familiar foe La Porte at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Friendswood 1.6, La Porte 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ball will face off against rival Texas City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
