Burk Made His Presence Known in Redwood's 28-6 Victory
Starting off the list is Redwood's Jimmie Burk, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Burk rushed for 132 yards and four touchdowns.
Burk must have Monache's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Burk rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries the last time he and the Marauders duked it out back in October of 2023.

Golden West Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Case Anders
Case Anders was instrumental in extending Golden West's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Anders as he rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 78 receiving yards.
Golden West pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Anders and Golden West are taking a road trip to face off against Redwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Alexander Carmona and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Alexander Carmona's big game helped extend Golden West's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Carmona as he picked up three sacks and made three total tackles.
On the year, Carmona has averaged 5.4 total tackles per game and for the season has 4 sacks.

While Izaya Welsh delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Porterville. Golden West had no answer to Welsh as he picked up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Welsh was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards.
This season, Welsh has caught those 2 touchdowns while averaging 89 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 29.43 receiving yards per game.

Shimer Came Up Big in Monache's 28-6 Defeat
Rounding off our Top Five is D.J. Shimer of Monache. Shimer rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
Monache moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Shimer and Monache have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Mt. Whitney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
