The Unity Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 44-24 walloping at the hands of Faith Christian. Unity Christian was down 37-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Maddy Wilbur and Emily Merema certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Wilbur scored six points along with ten rebounds and five steals, while Merema scored seven points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Unity Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Faith Christian, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Unity Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Lions at 9:00 a.m. on February 2nd. Galesburg Christian's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Quad Cities Christian's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while the Falcons have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
