The Rickards Raiders put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Lincoln with points to spare, taking the game 64-49. Given Rickards' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Lincoln is ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rickards' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travis Morris, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bj Plummer was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Rickards' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Florida State University High School the next time they take the court. Lincoln will head out to face Florida State University High School at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Rickards will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
