The Washington-Marion Charging Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-45 walloping at the hands of Iowa. While losing is never fun, Washington-Marion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Iowa is ranked 14th).
Several Charging Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fantasy Brown, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ta?khara Johnson, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Washington-Marion has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Iowa, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington-Marion's road trip will continue as they head out to face Welsh at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Iowa, they will challenge Lake Arthur at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
